The benefits of reading for fun – Fiction Express as a reading enhancer – George Tsioumanis, 14:00 – 14:25, 30 August, 2021
Why teens do not read? Most teachers have the goal of promoting students’ lifelong love of reading. But why? And what can educators and parents do to promote reading for fun? In this session we will attempt to answer these questions and introduce Fiction Express. Fiction Express is an award-winning literacy resource designed to improve all areas of literacy: reading; writing; spelling, punctuation & grammar; and speaking & listening. The resource improves poor reading habits by getting children excited about reading, through the power of a deeply engaging experience of co-creation between pupils and authors.

Open your school to a new world of opportunities. Let’s talk about Speakeroo! – Nick Rahovitis, 11:00 – 11:25, 31 August, 2021
Can students be taught to articulate their skills effectively? Would you like your students to become confident Engish speakers? Give them the opportunity to interact with international qualified English teachers to improve their speaking ability and get accustomed with practical speaking skills they will need in a global world. Let’s talk about Speakeroo, a new service designed to support educational institutions in the digital world.
